1. Who is eligible for an E-visa?
Egypt has launched a pilot E-visa system for citizens from 46 countries.
2. Who requires a visa to enter The Arab Republic of Egypt?
A citizen of a foreign country, wishing to enter The Arab Republic of Egypt, generally must first obtain an E-visa online.
3. When do I apply for an E-visa?
You have to create an e-Visa application online at least 7 days before your departure date.
4. How long does it take to obtain an E-visa?
An E-visa is usually processed and approved within three business days after the Egypt Immigration officials receives the completed application and all E-visa fees are paid. See 'Delivery Confirmation' in terms and conditions for more information.
5. How long is an E-visa valid for?
The e-Visa is valid for 90-days from the date of issuance and the traveller is allowed to stay for a total of 30 days from the date of entry with the e-Visa for Egypt.
6. What is the minimum passport expiry date required to apply for an E-visa?
Traveller's passport should be valid for a minimum period of 6 months from the date of entry into Egypt.

8. Can I extend my stay in Egypt after my visa has expired?
After entering Egypt by E-visa, you can request an agency/organization/individual in Egypt or abroad to extend your stay before your E-visa expires. You may apply for a new visa at the Egyptian Consulate or online. Wherever you apply for a visa extension, you’ll need one photo and two copies each of your passport’s data page and the visa page.

E-visa fee and payment
1. How much is the E-visa fee online here?
The current E-visa fee is 85usd(Single Entry) / 145usd(Multiple Entry) including mandatory government fees and statutory fees.
2. How can I make a payment for my E-visa
Payment is made Online. To make a payment, follow these steps:
Step 1: Click on "Apply here" option on Home page to fill the application form.
Step 2: Provide the required information and click “Pay” to complete the procedure.
2. If my E-visa is refused or unused, will my payment be refunded?
Standard government statutory fees are non-refundable, online service fees here are.
3. Do I need to enter Egypt on the exact date specified in my E-visa application?
The validity period of your E-visa begins from the date specified in your approved E-visa document. You can enter Egypt on any date within this validity period.
4. Can I enter Egypt before or after the validity period specified in my E-visa?
No. You cannot enter Egypt before or after the validity period specified in your E-visa.
